ok.
let's put the test behind us.
nothing special today.
Mr kang didn't come, so no PE today..
after that was bio.
本来要去lab的，可是后来又叫我们会班。

its only one period.
3/3 is having bio lessons.
never mind..

bio today we went on to chapter 3,biological molecules.
3.1 chemicals of life
biological molecules:
carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, nucleic acid.
*we started with carbohydrates.
carbohydrates contains carbon, hydrogen, oxygen.
hydrogen : oxygen --- 2 : 1

carbohydrates:
monosaccharides, disaccharides, polysaccharides.

monosaccharides:
glucose, frutose, galactose
*monosaccharides = glucose = simple sugar*

disaccharides:
linking of 2 monosaccharrides.
glucose + glucose -- maltose + H2O
glucose + galactose -- lactose + H2O
glucose + fructose -- sucrose + H2O [sweetest of the disaccharides](sugar)

ploysaccharides are long chains of monosaccharides.
*store carbohydrates for future use*[(A)storage ploysaccharides]
*provide structural support*[(B)structural ploysaccharides]
(A):
starch - a ploymer of glucose molecules. it is stored as starch granules. stored in cells of PLANTS.
glycogen - a ploymer of glucose primary store of carbohydrates in ANIMALS. stored in the liver & muscles of vertebrate animals.
